Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Definitely! Engagement sessions are a great add-on to your wedding photography package for a number of reasons. First of all, an engagement session gives us the chance to work together and get to know one another before your wedding day. That’s so important to me and I hope it is to you too!

Secondly, most of us don’t spend a lot of time in front of a camera. An engagement session gives you and your fiancé a great opportunity to have fun and get comfortable in front my camera so you’re at ease and stress-free on your big day!

Can you recommend a location for our engagement shoot?

Of course! Are you up for an adventure or love the outdoors? Is an urban landscape more your vibe? Let’s chat and find the perfect location that suits your style as a couple.

Do you offer wedding photography packages?

I sure do! I have four existing wedding photography packages that I offer my clients as a starting point. Any of those packages can be customized though to make sure they’re exactly what you want and need for your special day. I’m also more than happy to create a custom package for you that meets your needs or budget.

Can we meet with you before we book our wedding?

Absolutely! I wouldn’t have it any other way! It’s rare that I photograph a wedding without having the chance to get to know the couple first. Your wedding is one of the most special and intimate days of your life. I want to make sure I’m a good fit for you and vice versa. If we can’t meet in person, let’s set up a phone or video chat!

Do you ever book more than one wedding on the same day or weekend?

Ouch. More than wedding in one day? No, never. My focus on your wedding day is 100% on you!

There has been the rare occasion that I’ve shot more than one wedding in a weekend. But that generally only happens in the busier seasons like spring or summer.

Do you offer products like prints, wedding albums and wall art?

I sure do. All my clients have the option of ordering prints or wall art directly from my online proofing site. I love it when folks print their photos to display in their home. It’s so much better than keeping them hidden on a dusty, external hard drive! Print those beautiful photos!

My wedding albums come in a variety of sizes and can be customized with your choice of a leather or linen cover. I love designing albums for my couples. They’re the perfect, timeless keepsake that you can pass down through your family for generations.

How long after our wedding will it be before our photos are ready for viewing?

During my busy seasons — typically spring and fall — I’ll have your wedding photos edited and ready for viewing within four to six weeks. Don’t worry though. I know you’ll be excited to see your images and will give you sneak peeks along the way! It’s not uncommon for me to have your images to you ahead of schedule.

Have you photographed a wedding at our venue before?

There are so many gorgeous wedding venues in Asheville, NC, and throughout western North Carolina. I’ve photographed weddings, engagement sessions and events at many venues in the area, but always love getting to check out new ones!

I always make it a point to do a site visit to your venue if you’ve selected a location that I’ve not photographed before. I enjoy scoping out spots for great photos, meeting the venue staff ahead of time and being ready to hit the ground running on your wedding day.

How will our photos be delivered to us?

Your wedding photos will be available for viewing four to six weeks following your event on my online proofing site. In addition to being able to view your photos online, you’ll receive your photos on a custom USB drive.

If you selected an engagement session, your photos will be available for digital download directly from my proofing site. I’ll also include a copy of those images, along with your wedding day photos, on your USB drive.

How many edited images can I expect to receive from my wedding day?

I receive this question a lot and it's sometimes a tough one to answer beacuse there are so many variables from one wedding to the next. But on avereage, you can expect to receive approximately 80 to 100 images per hour from your wedding day. For me, the emphasis is on quality and not quantity.

Do you provide videography services?

I get this question a lot. Photography is my passion, so I choose to focus my work there. I do have many great videographer colleagues in Asheville and throughout western North Carolina though if you need a recommendation for your special day.
